Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy Book 6 series, including the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, marking a major upgrade to its premium laptop lineup. These new models were introduced at the CES 2026 showcase and have started rolling out — first in South Korea with broader availability expected in other markets, including the United States and possibly globally this spring.
High-Performance Hardware Inside
Both the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Book 6 Ultra are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors — the latest silicon built on Intel’s advanced 18A process, offering significant performance and efficiency improvements over prior generations. These chips include a neural processing unit (NPU) for on-device AI computing, enabling faster AI-assisted workflows without cloud dependence.

- Optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs for heavy creative workloads or gaming.
- Up to 64 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB SSD storage.

- Large 80.2 Wh battery with long runtimes and fast charging.
Galaxy Book 6 Pro
- Available in 14″ and 16″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen displays with anti-reflective coating.
- Uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs (X7, 7, 5 options) with Intel Arc integrated graphics.
- Up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB SSD storage.
- Redesigned vapor-chamber cooling system for quieter, more efficient thermal management.
- Solid battery life with up to 78 Wh depending on the model.
Both models include future-ready connectivity with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and a 2 MP webcam with an integrated fingerprint power button.
AI and Productivity Features
Samsung is pushing Galaxy AI capabilities across the Book 6 lineup — including tools like:
- AI Select for instant contextual snippets
- Note Assist for summarising and translating notes
- Natural language search within files
- Cross-device features like Multi Control, Storage Share, and Link to Windows for tight integration with Galaxy phones and tablets.
AI features are designed to run efficiently on-device thanks to the integrated NPU — meaning tasks like image editing, intelligent search, and translation don’t rely on constant cloud connectivity.
Design, Display, and Battery
Both laptops boast Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreens with vibrant colors and high brightness, making them suitable for creative work, content consumption, and productivity. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra measures around 15.4 mm thick, and the Pro (16″) is about 11.9 mm, keeping them slim and portable.
Samsung also highlights improved cooling systems with vapor chambers and optimized airflow — helping keep performance high under load.
Battery life is strong across both models, with claims of up to 30 hours of video playback on a full charge, and fast-charging capabilities.
Pricing & Availability
The new laptops are already available in South Korea from January 27, 2026, with the Galaxy Book 6 Pro starting around KRW 2.6 million (~$1,800) and the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra starting around KRW 4.62 million (~$3,200). Higher-end configurations can reach roughly KRW 4.9 million (~$3,400) depending on GPU and storage options.
Samsung is offering bundle perks for early buyers (running through March 31), including accessories like limited-edition laptop bags and software subscriptions.
Sales in other regions — including the U.S. and wider global markets — are expected to roll out this spring, though an India release date has not been confirmed yet.
Why It Matters
The Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra mark a major leap for Samsung’s Windows laptop lineup — blending performance, AI capability, top-tier displays, longer battery life, and improved cooling in sleek, portable designs. These devices are tailored for creative professionals, power users, and anyone who needs high-end computing on the go.
